Jill Farrand has decades of writing experience in communications, public relations, and marketing roles across multiple industries, including healthcare. It was at Jill’s first job as Community Relations Coordinator at Community Memorial Hospital in Winona, Minnesota, where she developed her love of writing people’s life stories. She was the editor of the hospital’s magazine, Reaching Out (circ. 3,500); her role required her to conduct in-depth interviews with hospital patients, staff, and community volunteers on relevant healthcare and personal topics, on a continual basis. Once she got a taste for writing a few life stories, she was hooked. It is her love of writing, people, and stories that culminated in Jill developing her business, Tell My Story LLC, in 2015. She hopes to use her talents and the talents of her staff to tell clients’ stories with care and artistry—so that they will live on.
